Will develop, implement, and improve quality plans, programs, procedures, and systems using statistical analyses, lean manufacturing concepts, and six sigma tools and analyses. The incumbent reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality system and process discrepancies and develops/implements best practices for standardization and excellence. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to: Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and/or electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and ELS tools and analyses. Lead and/or participate in quality process improvement projects. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Oversee the document control system by processing document change requests and working with division to develop new documents. Create, review, and approves changes to the quality system process to devise best practices and reduce process variation. Consult with quality managers on best practices. Develop and update quality and ISO9001 system training programs and train all levels of employees on these systems. Provide on- and off-site quality system consultation to all division locations. Audit and test the quality system to ensure sustainability of processes and compliance with Company and legal requirements (ie: ISO9001). Report on quality system metrics and present to site and division leadership and audit team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. 0-3 years technical experience needed, at least 3 years related experience preferred in Information Technology, Engineering, or related. Certified Auditor or Certified Quality Analyst preferred. Knowledgeable on database administration and systems testing and auditing processes. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong auditing and statistical skills Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function specific software. Strong attention to detail & organizational skills. Strong technical aptitude. Additional Information The salary range for this position is $52,875 - $70,500 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
