Description The Quality Analyst collaborates with IT staff to identify issues, automation opportunities and potential improvements within business and system requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and report defects. This role is essential in ensuring that systems and software meet quality expectations as well as the needs of customers, both internal and external, in alignment with PLTW’s strategic objectives. Occasional travel required. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute test cases and scripts based on business and system requirements, and design documentation. Lead the documentation and maintenance of testing strategies, best practices, plans, and procedures. Build and maintain relationships with a team of Business Analysts, development resources, and other Quality Analysts Identify, record, and track defects to resolution. Conduct regression testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and stress testing as needed. Identify automation opportunities by designing, writing, and executing automated tests. Document and communicate test results and provide feedback to IT Team and business stakeholders as needed. Contribute to the successful implementation, validation, delivery, and adoption of defined solutions. Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise. Other duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience. Knowledge of quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS A customer-centric approach to all internal and external interactions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with issue tracking systems (i.e. JIRA, Confluence) and Microsoft Office products. Results-oriented with the ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented. Experience working in an Agile Development environment. Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Postman, etc. Software Testing or Quality Assurance Certifications desired. Creative and critical thinking with a concentration on being flexible and adaptable. Excellent judgment and ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and efficiency. The ability to influence professionally and constructively.
Responsibilities
