JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Quality Analyst is responsible for the accurate extraction of data from multiple sources and data entry into the appropriate data base. The Quality Analyst is responsible for reporting any identified trend and for providing input, where appropriate, into problem resolution.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Current state licensure (RN), 3 years clinical experience preferred
  • interpersonal skills in order to interact with hospital personnel and physicians
  • computer skills as well as data trending and analysis
  • Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree

Responsibilities
  • Audits medical records for compliance with CMS core measures.
  • Identifies outliers and implements an action plan to improve.
  • Performs duties and functions to comply with quality improvement programs according to state requirements e.g. Joint Commission, CMS, TDH, Leapfrog,
  • Develops/maintains spreadsheets to reflect audit results.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations on quality issues.
  • Educates staff members and licensed independent practitioners on quality indicators.
  • Assists with developing and implementing QI activities for compliance with all regulatory agencies, e.g. Joint Commission, CMS, TDH, Leapfrog, etc.
  • Conducts weekly meetings to apprise directors/managers of scores related to CMS core measures.
