Minneapolis, Minnesota Position: Quality Analyst Department: Quality Team Department Primary Objective of Position Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's complex quality system. This role includes preparing product documentation with traceability, evaluating improvements to increase product reliability, and ensuring the overall effectiveness of the quality system. Major Areas of Accountability – WEN: Assist in establishing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System; ensuring integrity of the data. Responsible for maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System. Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for production and operation concerns. Support Quality Team to ensure products and processes comply with relevant requirements of Quality Management System and IS09001. Conduct full cycle internal audits; compile and present final determination to management. Review and analyze nonconformance reports; delivering insightful recommendations that drive actions to improve quality of on-time delivery. Analyze customer complaints; determine root cause and create corrective and preventative actions. Interacts and supports Purchasing; evaluation of external suppliers including on-site audits. Audit existing suppliers and assist in the development of new suppliers. Engage with support areas (Sales, Product Engineering, PCP, Purchasing, etc.) to analyze product and material conformity and address low-complexity quality system issues. Periodically analyze the history of quality records and customer complaints, aiming to prevent new occurrences; using statistical techniques and/or quality tools for this purpose / obtain information regarding specifications and products and materials Audit critical processes, indicating weak points and possible solutions or improvements. Interpret and analyze customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, standards, modifications or special products, seeking product conformity and verifying the quality assurance conditions offered to the customer. Develop and maintain updated product inspection plans, ensuring traceability. Develop new instruments, systems or inspection techniques that guarantee the quality of the final product. Keep the section's equipment checked and in usable condition, arranging for it to be sent to the metrology laboratory within the stipulated deadlines. Conduct multi-departmental and strategic projects of the department. Know product lines, main customers and applications of the company's products. Manage non-conformity recording systems, leveraging generated information to enhance product and process quality. Monitor, guide, and evaluate inspector activities using quality indicators, developing inspection standards, and updating quality systems as needed. Participate in the development, improvement, maintenance and implementation of quality systems, as well as organizing and maintaining quality system documents and procedures, coordinating certification and approval activities. Work with the factory and support areas, aiming to reduce process time and manufacturing costs while maintaining product compliance and quality. Perform other tasks, related to those described above, as requested by superiors. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and Experience: 5+ years continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge in Quality Control Software and Quality Management Software, Inspection Plans and Quality Audits. Knowledge in Evaluation Manufacturing Process Product/Components, Main Manufacturing Process, Product/Application Lines, Management Process Indicators and National/International Standards Quality Control Management System Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and SAP plus. Self-motivated individual with strong decision-making abilities, comfortable working in a team. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent problem-solving skills, technical writing proficiency, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience reading text and blueprints as well as drafting symbols, welding symbols and geometric tolerancing symbols. Ability to communicate and present detailed, technical initiatives to non-technical people. Availability to travel 10%, including internationally. Physical Requirements: Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery. Have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds unassisted. Must be able to climb stairs. Salary: $80k to $90k Will compensate with experience. Position is full-time.
