JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a great opportunity for a methodical and process driven individual to become part of our growing 3PL business.
This is a new but key role to our business and an integral part of our future. Focusing on all things Quality and Compliance, this role provides the potential for the right candidate to shape this position and really make it their own!

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Warehouse/Manufacturing and Packaging Diploma or Degree qualifications
  • HACCP training or previous experience of working in a BRC environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of C.I. methodologies such as Lean or Kaizen is also desirable

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an Audit or Compliance role is preferred
  • Excellent eye for detail and strong analytical skills
  • Methodical approach and process driven
    The salary for this role will be £27,000- £29,000 depending on experience, with lots of potential for development and involvement in other areas of this growing business.

Responsibilities
  • To conduct quality assurance checks on finished goods produced through Contract Packing activities in line with the Quality Control procedure.
  • To conduct quality assurance checks on activities within the Logistics operation.
  • Ensure escalation and implementation of remedial actions due to any QC concerns are actioned promptly and as per the defined process.
  • Conduct Gold/Black Seals with the Customer and deliver the necessary information to the Production Controller.
  • Assist in the start-up of new lines and support the Production Team Leaders in the training and coaching of staff against the quality requirements for each product.
  • Ensure escalation and implementation of remedial actions due to any QC concerns are actioned promptly and as per the defined process.
  • Provide accurate management data/metrics and analysis on a regular basis and as requested.
  • Investigate shortfalls, issues and complaints in current business processes.
  • Training, mentoring and guiding Team Members in new processes and best practices.
  • Conduct internal audits and monitoring adherence to processes outlined by accrediting bodies such as BRC.
  • Monitoring warehouse processes implemented by the company, reviewing conformance against the standards set out, tracking non-conformance and reporting trends.
