Description

An amazing opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group, for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as our Quality and Early Years manager.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience of working at a senior management level in a quality facing role with a record of success
  • Experience of working in a nursery and evidence of improving quality
  • Track record of developing, teaching and and designing early years training
  • Strong leadership and capable of managing nursery teams of varying capabilities
  • Confident decision maker and ability to support and challenge current thinking and drive and implement effective change where required
  • Track record of delivering outstanding childcare, ongoing childcare quality improvement and measurement and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of Ofsted and local authority requirements and processes

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified to minimum of NVQ level 3
  • Experience of management of a nursery or early years setting for a minimum of 3 years
  • Full, clean driving licence. Ability to work flexibly and to travel on a regular basis.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
Responsibilities
  • Provide pedagogical and leadership advice and role model practice to nursery managers and teams
  • Implement the quality strategy effectively across the group and align with overall group objectives
  • Lead and inspire teams to provide outstanding ofsted outcomes through best practice
  • Implement and support training sessions by attending staff meetings/ weekend training sessions delivering to our nursery teams and leaders
  • Attend and support all mock and real ofsted inspections
  • Develop and implement In house training and development plans for nursery teams within the group and provide a clear path for professional development and talent spotting within the nursery teams
  • Develop MiChild apprenticeship programme
  • Devise nursery targeted support plans as required
  • Formulating and communication of childcare policies
  • Lead on health and safety for the group and chair regular health and safety meetings
  • Advise senior management team and Directors on latest childcare trends and industry best practice and implement quality strategic plan for the group
  • Lead by example and consistently promote Michild values and ethos
  • To undertake any other duties and projects that may be reasonably requested by COO and Directors.
