From early 2023, the number of single rooms available for inpatients has increased and is currently a 115 patient-bed, expanding our ability to provide mental health support to the community.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for providing support for the Quality/Risk and Infection Control programs to compliment the strategic direction, daily operational processes and the continual achievement of accreditation for the hospital.
Reporting to the Quality, Risk and Infection Control Manager you will assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices and standards. You will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant committees to collect and collate data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and infection control clinical indicators. You will have sound knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System and experience in supporting clinical teams to meet required standards. The position will also conduct clinical audits, monitoring and surveillance as required.
You will undertake direct patient care as required providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team. You will be a confident practitioner able to provide education and training to staff on relevant topics
