POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an energetic and capable Quality & Supply Chain Coordinator with a strong chemistry/materials background and excellent communication, technical and operational skills to join our team in Lexington, KY. The Quality & Supply Chain Coordinator is a dual-role position responsible for supporting both quality assurance/control and supply chain operations. This hands-on role ensures that our products (over forty high-performance powders) meet quality standards while also managing procurement, inventory, and logistics to support the production team and customer fulfillment. This position requires capable multi-tasking in a manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field (Required).
· 2+ years of experience in a quality or supply chain role in a manufacturing environment.
· Practical experience in the characterization and performance evaluation of materials.
· Experience interfacing with customers.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/ERP systems.
· Excellent communication and project management skills.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH, RoHS, TSCA).
· Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable approach to cross-functional responsibilities.
Travel required: 10% - 20%.
This position requires access to controlled technology and technical data subject to ITAR. Therefore, only U.S. persons as defined by ITAR will be considered for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Quality Responsibilities:
o Perform inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
o Maintain quality documentation, including test records, batch logs, and Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
o Assist in the development and maintenance of SOPs and quality procedures.
o Support internal audits and help prepare for external audits and customer inspections.
o Drive process improvements through data-based decision making.
o Participate in root-cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
o Monitor and report on quality metrics and trends.
· Supply Chain Responsibilities:
o Coordinate procurement of raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
o Maintain inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels to support production.
o Work with vendors to manage lead times, deliveries, and quality of incoming materials.
o Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
o Collaborate with production and sales teams to align supply chain activities with demand.
o Support customer service by providing updates on order status and resolving delivery issues.
· Customer Interaction:
o Communicate with customers and potential customers regarding product quality, documentation, and logistics.
o Assist in responding to customer inquiries, complaints, and quality-related concerns.
o Support sales with technical and logistical information as needed.
· Track time and spending in accordance with company policies, and in compliance with government requirements.
· Other tasks as required.
