JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assistant will support the quality management processes within the Company, ensuring that products, services, or systems meet established standards. This role involves conducting inspections, tests and audits, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with teams to resolve quality issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 3rd level qualification in Food Science and Technology or a related field is preferred.
· 1-2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role within a food manufacturing environment.
· Experience working in a Company that operates to a BRC standard is preferred but not essential
· Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
· Proficiency in documentation and data analysis.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication and teamwork abilities.
· A motivated team player with exceptional attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude
· Performance driven with a proven track record of achievement

Responsibilities

· Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will manage finished product specifications and customer requirements.
· Play an active role in labelling governance to ensure compliance.
· You will be responsible for driving and maintaining best practice quality standards on production floor.
· Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory standards and customer requirements.
· Measure close out of technical issues, NC’s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation.
· Act as a key support to the Quality Manager.
· Assist in the development and implementation of quality control and assurance procedures.
· Conduct routine inspections and tests on products, services, or processes.
· Identify and document defects or deviations from standards.
· Compile and analyse data to monitor quality trends.
· Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address quality concerns.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
· Support training initiatives related to quality protocols and best practices.
· Participate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
