Quality Assistant Department Outreach Administration Office Entity Outreach Services Location Nairobi, Kenya Introduction Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH, N) is a private not-for-profit teaching hospital that provides tertiary and secondary level healthcare services. It is one of the hospitals in East Africa accredited by the Joint Commission International from USA. The University Hospital has been providing high quality care for the people of East Africa and beyond for over 60 years. The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi Outreach Division is a rapidly growing network of 54 medical centers spread over East Africa. These medical centers feature three to five consulting rooms with a practice that is home to qualified medical officers, highly-experienced nurses and constant reception cover. The clinics offer an on-site pharmacy and laboratory as well as radiology and sonography services. There is high expectation for staff to provide high quality professional services. Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the above position based in Nairobi, Kenya. The position holder will report to the Quality Advisor. Responsibilities: Design and standardize data collection tools (Excel trackers, MS Forms, registers) aligned to quality indicators Support automation of data processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors Train staff on data collection tools, indicator definitions, and data quality principles Collect, validate, and analyze quality data (e.g., turnaround times, patient feedback, incident reports) Maintain dashboards and track performance trends, highlighting any deviations Conduct data quality audits and support internal quality audits Track audit findings and support closure of action plans Maintain incident and risk registers; support corrective action tracking Coordinate patient feedback collection and analyze complaints and compliments Support preparation of quality reports for leadership Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business information technology (BBIT), Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year experience in data management, quality support, or healthcare operations Additional training in healthcare quality, data analytics, or health information management is an added advantage.
