REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality control or inspection.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for the majority of the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Up to 10% travel required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as Carrier Production Run-Test, Production Utility, Production Team Lead.
• Associate degree or experience in a technical field preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Software, and/or Oracle and SAP experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and HVAC equipment, such as automated assembly lines, preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Associate to join our team. The Quality Associate will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet our high standards of quality and reliability for internal and customer issues identified. The successful candidate will be able to identify defects and non-conformities in products, as well as identify opportunities for process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect all products manufactured by Carrier Charlotte Factory to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Identify defects and non-conformities in products and document them in the quality management system.
• Verify that all product labeling, packaging, and documentation are accurate and complete.
• Audit production processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and procedures, while tracking the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
• Provide feedback to the production team on quality issues and collaborate with them to resolve quality problems.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that all products meet customer expectations.
• Capture and upload traceability photos of all audited units while maintaining accurate and complete inspection records.
• Ensure integrity of containment activities, including those involving supplied components.
• Measure components as required (e.g., lead length, bend radius, etc.).
• Support implementation of quality management systems (ISO9001).
• Perform other activities as required by the Quality Manager, Production Supervisors, or Trainer.
• Report daily test pass/fail results and nonconformance data.
