  • Considerable experience providing Bilingual (English and French) services, communicating effectively in English and French with all levels of staff, internal and external stakeholders in person, by telephone, and in writing.
  • Currently registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Considerable experience in licensed childcare work including familiarity with policies and procedures related to the operation of a childcare center and child and human development theories.
  • Experience in program development and evaluation related to the provision of human services.
  • Experience in effectively identifying problems and in proposing solutions.
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Program Manager Children’s Services, Quality and Capacity Building, the Quality Assurance Analyst:

  • Conducts joint field audits with supervisors and/or peers to determine adherence to standardized assessment procedures and makes recommendations as required.
  • Conducts on-site quality assurance assessments on a city-wide basis.
  • Evaluates licensed Child Care programs to monitor program quality and facilities, ensuring municipal and other legislated regulations and standards are maintained.
  • Educates Child Care Operators on the quality assurance requirements for their premises.
  • Identifies areas of non-compliance and initiates corrective action.
  • Documents and reports the results of quality assurance assessments to management personnel, including posting the results on the public website.
  • Prepares reports for contracted agencies, internal files and divisional use.
  • Provides consultation to District Consultants on quality assurance related issues.
  • Develops and implements in-service education sessions for peers and other divisional staff.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on the Divisional Training Plan related to professional development and training required to improve childcare quality.
  • Conducts periodic review of records/reports to determine timeliness and completeness of assigned workloads.
  • Develops, implements and maintains operational procedures, information systems, administrative documentation and record control for quality assurance processes.
  • Participates on internal committees and work groups.
