JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, along with proficiency in various testing tools and programming languages.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of QA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools such as TFS or Jira for defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with programming languages including C, C#, Python, and PL/SQL is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SQL for database testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UI testing principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $34.20 - $38.02 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bowie, MD 2071

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
  • Lead the Quality Management Program and provide guidance to the Quality Evaluator (QE) team.
  • Participate in quality reviews and document updates for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Control (QC) workbooks, and the Quality Management Plan (QMP).
  • Identify, record, and track defects using tools such as TFS or Jira.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and design effective test strategies.
  • Conduct functional, regression, performance, and UI testing to ensure software meets quality standards.
  • Utilize programming skills in languages such as C, C#, Python, or PL/SQL to automate tests and enhance testing efficiency.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the product.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
