Quality Control Specialist We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist experienced in AISC standards and architectural steel panel systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication inspection experience, understands AISC and AWS quality requirements, and is committed to ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic quality across all our panel and façade projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect fabricated steel panels, frames, and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and finish. Verify materials and welds comply with AISC, AWS D1.1, and project specifications. Maintain quality documentation: inspection reports, NCRs, calibration logs, and material traceability. Support AISC Certification efforts and assist during internal or external quality audits. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Ensure coatings and finishes (paint, galvanizing, powder coat) meet required ASTM/SSPC standards. REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of quality control experience in steel fabrication, paneling, or architectural metal systems. Working knowledge of AISC, AWS D1.1, and ASTM standards. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or quality tracking software.
