JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that all services meet established regulatory and agency quality standards. This role is responsible for auditing, compliance monitoring, incident management, and process improvement across FLACRA programs. The Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate with internal teams to develop policies, implement corrective actions, and enhance service delivery .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Health, Human Services, or related field).
  • 1-2 years of experience in direct care support within behavioral health or a related healthcare setting.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of OASAS, OMH, DOH, OMIG, HIPAA, CFR 42 regulations preferred.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Develop, review, and maintain policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and track performance metrics.
  • Conduct audits and internal evaluations to ensure compliance with agency and state requirements.
  • Investigate client concerns, compliance issues, and incident reports to drive quality improvements.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to manage incident reports and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor risk management activities related to clinical, financial, and environmental factors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (OASAS, OMH, DOH, OMIG, HIPAA, CFR 42).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in corrective action planning and implementation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to urgent issues when needed.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required.
