The primary objective of the Quality and Compliance Specialist is to provide training, and data to help ensure the production of safe, high-quality feed and support team safety. The ideal Compliance and Quality Specialist candidate would be passionate about safety and quality, be detail oriented and have strong follow-up skills. This person would possess a high sense of urgency and be cognizant of timeliness in all situations. As unique opportunities present themselves, you must be sensitive to corporate goals, as well as team member and customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to and manage a variety of tasks as assigned by plant management or the Corporate Quality and Compliance Manager, including but not limited to those listed below.
  • Lead initiatives in obtaining and retaining feed quality certifications.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of feed quality issues.
  • Deliver training and guidance to help teams achieve safety, quality, and compliance goals.
  • Conduct safety, quality, and compliance audits; document results and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the operations teams to address and resolve issues identified through the audit process.
  • Field questions from team members regarding safety, quality, feed safety, and compliance.
  • Provide support during regulatory audits conducted by agencies such as OSHA and the FDA.
  • Respond promptly to emails concerning safety, quality, and compliance issues.
