Our Quality Assurance and
Environmental Impact Manager is at the heart of our work tackling fuel poverty
and climate change. This role ensures all our frontline staff are delivering
the best quality service to our clients, with a minimum impact of the
environment.
Whether it is supporting those struggling to pay their
bills, people retrofitting their homes or businesses reducing their energy use,
the QA and EI Manager ensures we have the data to know what works and how we
can reduce our impact on the world around us.
We require a part-time quality assurance and environmental
impact manager, to take on a fixed term role in the Fundraising & Impact
Team until March 2026; the role will be based in our Gloucester Quays office on
a hybrid working model over 3 days a week. The purpose of the role is to work
with our consultants to ensure that the quality assurance and environmental
processes and procedures within SW are developed further and effectively
deployed & compliant with UK regulations and ISO 9001 (Quality Management
Systems) & ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).

This role will include
-
Working with ISO consultants to maintain ISO
9001 & ISO 14001 certification, you will lead on pulling together the
relevant information and documentation to ensure we pass external audits
-
Work with all Severn Wye teams to improve their
service quality through regular feedback from the QA processes
-
Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of
Quality and Environmental processes and practices across the SW business.

Ensure processes within SW are standardised and
consistent through
-
Maintain effective document control procedures
through a document control process and register.

Work with and advise all teams on environmental
best practices and compliance with legal requirements, standards, and
environmentally related customers’ requests.

Assist in environmental document
creation/translations (guidelines, procedures, working instructions).

Support delivery of the Severn Wye
sustainability plan.

Comply entirely with Severn Wye policies and
procedures, including quality assurance, health, and safety policies,
monitoring systems and procedures.

Lead the creation, coordination, and delivery of
internal training across the business on our ISO systems and processes
PERSON SPECIFICATION We are looking for someone who
– Pays
close attention to detail, loves working across teams to collate information, thrives
on hitting deadlines, and is looking for scope for career development.
– Has
the skills and enthusiasm to evolve the role and the ability to adapt
responsibilities and approaches accordingly.
– Has
the ability and experience of working with teams to develop and embed quality assurance
systems within an organisation, (possibly with the support of consultants or partners).
– Has
good general knowledge of affordable warmth, retrofit, and sustainable energy technology
programmes within Severn Wye.
– Has
excellent customer service skills – a willingness to understand and deal
effectively with internal and external customers.
Desirable skills and experience include
– Knowledge
of environmental standards and legal requirements in the UK or a desire to
learn.
– Self-motivated
and possess an ability to use one’s own initiative.
– Problem-solving.
– Confident
IT and cloud computing skills: Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail, internet, database
