JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant Manager who will be responsible for managing employees and implementing, coordinating, and monitoring quality programs and policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our quality management systems meet industry standards, such as ISO 9001, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Quality Management, plus 5-10 years of related experience, or 10+ years in quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control principles, methodologies, and tools, such as SPC, Geometric Dimensioning, Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS), particularly ISO 9001.
  • Advanced understanding of inspection and testing techniques and equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of SAP is desired.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write fluently in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, train, develop, and coach new and existing quality assurance employees.
  • Determine and address training requirements.
  • Maintain and manage quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor quality programs, control plans, procedures, and policies.
  • Create company-wide work instructions, procedures, and policies as needed.
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with customer and operational expectations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manage supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification and performance monitoring.
  • Generate reports for management and customers.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
