JOB SUMMARY

  • Assist the QA lead with the planning of six monthly quality assurance audits and annual quality statements audits
  • Complete allocated actions from audits and assist managers with their actions if needed
  • Attend annual family forum meetings
  • Attend post audit meetings to discuss actions required
  • Assist the QA lead with the completion of audits as and where needed.
  • Ensuring that the quality assurance folder is up to date with newsletters and relevant policies
  • Assist the QA lead with ensuring service improvement plans are up to date and relevant.
  • Assist with ensuring that all relevant care plan documents are in place and up to date.
    Candidates will have an understanding of compliance and legislation, regulatory standards, RFC policies and procedures and quality standards. You will be required to know where to find copies and where to get advice on them. You should be able to work in a systematic, organised and methodical way. You will accurately record, monitor and use data in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. I use my time and resources safely and efficiently.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Essential

  • Communicate effectively with different people
  • A good standard of written and spoken English
  • To be able to form & maintain effective working relationships as part of a team, and work using own initiative where required.
  • To be able to report and record accurately

Desirable

  • Experience of working with people with autistic spectrum disorders
  • Knowledge of PECS and other communication systems

KNOWLEDGE

Essential

  • A demonstrable knowledge of disability issues
  • A demonstrable interest in autism

Desirable

  • An awareness of vulnerable adults and young people’s protection issues and legislation

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Excellent experience of supporting those with Autism and Learning disabilities and behaviours of concern
