Staff Plus detail-oriented Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control within a Food manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Minimum High School Diploma; post-secondary coursework in Food Science, Food Tech, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or related preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in food manufacturing QA or QC environments.
• Certifications: HACCP, SQF, PCQI, or equivalent training (or willingness to obtain).
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, solid organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Soft Traits: Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work in fast-paced, physically varied environments.

• Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and internal food safety protocols throughout production and packing lines.
• Conduct routine inspections: incoming ingredients, in-process checks, finished product audits, and environmental swabs.
• Maintain accurate documentation—quality logs, test records, corrective actions, and labeling accuracy.
• Assist with internal and external audits (SQF, HACCP, CFIA/BRC frameworks).
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Participate in continuous improvement: analyze trends, propose enhancements, support data-driven quality efforts.
