Quality Assurance Associate 1st Shift As a QA Associate, you play an important role in the success of L2's production operations. Primary responsibilities of this position include visually inspecting headwear to ensure each piece meets quality standards. Reports directly to the QA Lead / QA Supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities: Follows the direction of the quality assurance lead and/or quality assurance supervisor Reference the print placement guide for correct print placement Check that print has correct placement on garment Catches and neatly stack garments as they come out of the textile dryer while keeping pace with the screen print machine Separates all shirts that need to be cleaned, touched up and mill rejects. Helps ensure accuracy of order as per approved order information, Tech Sheet, garment color and style Responsible for immediately notifying the machine operator and/or quality assurance lead when detecting errors in a production run. Fill out the “Daily Production Log” Assists with the finishing process of production orders; second dry, applying proper stickers and folding Communicates effectively with the machine operator to maintain a good workflow from order to order May be asked to touch up or spot clean garments as needed Commitment to company values Essential Functions: Quality Control- Monitors own work to ensure quality. Qualifications- To qualify for this position, one must have the ability to read, write, apply common sense and comprehend simple instructions furnished in a written, oral or diagram form. Ability to recognize similarities and differences, between words and between series of numbers. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or with small groups of employees. Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize. Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide and work with percentages. Noise level in the environment is moderate. This role routinely uses: 1. Production Workstation 2. Bagger Sealer 3. Heat Press 4. Tagging Guns 5. Spot Cleaning Station Physical Demands: Standing Use hands to finger, handle or feel Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, reach above shoulders, speak & hear Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell Frequently required to lift up to 12 pounds Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds Specific vision abilities that may be required for the job include; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus Frequently required to twist at the waist Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and work hours are: 1st Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime, longer hours, evenings, and weekend work will be necessary as needed.
