[What the role is] We are seeking a Quality Assurance Audit Lead with strong expertise in auditing, quality management, and system/software engineering. This role is responsible for planning and executing impartial audits across system development projects, ensuring compliance with standardized procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset to risk identification and treatment and drive continuous improvement in audit practices. [What you will be working on] Plan and conduct development and product assurance audits for systems under the Programme Office, leveraging standardized system development procedures and a deep understanding of organizational processes. Develop and refine audit methodologies to ensure audits are impartial, timely, and effective. Identify and engage relevant subject matter experts during audit planning to ensure technical depth and relevance. Assess audit findings to identify associated risks and recommend appropriate risk treatment strategies. Evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of proposed risk treatments in mitigating development and product assurance risks. Continuously improve audit procedures by incorporating insights from audit trends, historical data, and industry best practices. [What we are looking for] Strong expertise in auditing standards and best practices, with hands-on experience conducting audits in technical environments. Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems and their application to system development. Familiarity with risk identification and mitigation strategies, preferably in domains such as air navigation ground systems or Whole-of-Government (WOG) systems. Experience with Requirements and Change Management processes. Prior experience in software/system development and delivery is a strong advantage. Knowledge of systems design and process-driven development, ideally in regulated or safety-critical domains such as aviation. (Preferable) Familiarity with policies and best practices related to air navigation ground systems and/or WOG systems.
