ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Auditor (QAA) to join our Quality Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality, the QAA will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and compliance of our services across supported living and residential settings.
This role supports the delivery of a high-quality service by completing audits, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting managers to implement agreed actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CQC standards, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative, coaching-led approach to driving continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete scheduled Quality Assurance audits using standardised tools (MOA Benchmarking and paper-based audits) across services.
  • Raise clear, actionable recommendations and work with managers to support implementation and improvement.
  • Analyse audit findings and other quality data (e.g., incident patterns, compliance scores) to identify trends and risk areas.
  • Support the Head of Quality in developing, reviewing, and refining audit tools.
  • Provide quality-focused support to PBS Practitioners, Registered Managers, Business Development, and Training colleagues.
  • Collaborate with local teams to help services prepare for and respond to internal and external compliance reviews (e.g., CQC, local authority, ICB).
  • Maintain awareness of legislative, regulatory, and best practice changes in adult social care and advise on potential impacts.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures, as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, feedback, and reporting following each audit visit.
  • Build constructive and supportive relationships with operational teams to promote a culture of learning, development, and improvement.
  • Attend Quality Team and service meetings as required to share findings, updates, and good practice.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and supervision to ensure continued personal and professional development.
