Description

Highfield Qualifications are one of the UK’s top Awarding Organisations and are actively involved in the development of the UK workforce and productivity, as well as contributing to government plans for 3 million apprenticeships by 2020 and the switchover to the new apprenticeship standards.
We have developed over 300 separate qualifications covering a variety of industries from customer service, food safety, health and safety and licensing to high-speed rail, aviation, security, retail and logistics.
The position requires the Quality Assurance Officer to work from their own home as a main base of operations but also requires travel to our approved centres (training providers) to support and quality assure activities such as examination invigilation. The post holder will contact centres to verify that the policies and procedures that they had in place at the time of their approval with Highfield remain in place and are compliant with current regulatory standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in quality assurance as a career path to join our company and receive the training and support needed. The main purpose of this role is to:

  • schedule quality assurance activities with centres to gain assurance of their continued compliance against approval criteria.
  • ensure resource requirements are met by ensuring that the centre has sufficient people who are qualified to perform their role.
  • conduct remote and physical quality assurance activity with centres to ensure that appropriate support is provided.
  • discuss the findings of each quality assurance activity with the centre and provide the outcomes and actions within a report.
  • attend examination venues to quality assure the examination and invigilation processes that the centre has in place follow current regulatory requirements.
  • Support other quality assurance activities within the department to ensure service level agreements are met and obtain an understanding of wider quality assurance measures within the team.
  • Produce reports showing completed and planned activities.
