Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance Coordinator to support our internal quality systems and ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and relevant accreditation requirements. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the quality assurance function for Nemko in Austin, as well as the inspection body based in Austin.
- Take direction and execute on plans coming from local Lab management. Provide feedback and ideas for quality improvement.
- Coordinate with accreditation bodies and other authorities to maintain accreditation as well as recognitions in various economies worldwide.
- Lead actions to maintain and expand scopes of accreditation for US labs and inspection body as updated standards are released and new service opportunities emerge.
- Lead teams to analyze root causes of nonconformities and devise and implement corrective actions.
- Lead responses to and resolution of customer complaints.
- Establish and maintain approvals of subcontractors and critical suppliers.
- Coordinate proficiency test programs for Austin. Place PTP orders and ensure timely reporting and outlier follow up.
- Coordinate Austin lab involvement in Nemko Group intralab programs.
- Execute internal audit plans of Austin labs and inspection body.
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory and inspection body staff.
- Perform management system audits of other Nemko units.
- Manage calibration database, ensure equipment remains in current calibration status.
- Manage verification processes for equipment that is internally verified.
- Other calibration-related duties as needed by Austin operations.
