Description

Brainsharp Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer that ensures the quality and functionality of the company’s software products. The QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer ensures the quality and functionality of software by identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues before release. They design and execute test cases, document results, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience
· Proven experience in quality assurance roles

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong analytical skills to identify and isolate issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills to be able to troubleshoot problems and suggest solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with developers and other stakeholders
  • Must be meticulous in their testing and reporting with attention to detail
  • Knowledge and experience with various testing tools and methodologies

Responsibilities

Testing Software:

  • Use both manual and automated methods to test software for bugs, glitches, and usability issues.
  • Acquire a strong understanding of the software’s functionality and how it’s used.

Identifying and Reporting Defects:

  • Find errors, document them, and communicate them to developers so they can be fixed.

Collaborating with Developers:

  • Work closely with developers to ensure that the software meets quality standards and resolves identified issues

Creating Test Plans and Documenting Test Results

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios to ensure thorough testing
  • Maintain detailed records of test cases, results, and any bugs found
