Requirements ACCOUNTABILITIES: Lead field corrective actions as assigned driving containment, root cause analysis (8D/5Why), and verification for field quality issues, ensuring timely closure in the approved system. Own the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process from initiation through effectiveness verification, partnering with appropriate Buyers for dispositions, also travel and assist with vendor QA as needed. Inspect components and finished goods imported from Fulton China manufacturing per QC procedures and visit factories as needed, verify MTRs/markings, and issue NCRs for nonconforming product. Conduct inspections on US produced boilers to drawings and code requirements, processing nonconformities per NCR workflow. Plan and perform both internal and supplier audits against Fulton procedures and ASME/NBIC standards, document findings, and close corrective actions. Maintain quality records as necessary in the appropriate systems to support compliance and join-review readiness. Use data from inspections and corrective actions to identify systemic issues and recommend preventive measures. Coach operators and suppliers on inspection standards and corrective action methods to strengthen first time quality. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field Prior experience within quality assurance performing inspections and working in an ASME shop. Working knowledge of ASME Sec I/IV/VIII Div.1 and NBIC requirements; familiarity with MRT review, hydro/pressure test documentation and AI/AIA interactions. Structured problem solving (8D, A3, 5-Why) with evidence of durable, verified fixes. Preferred: ASQ CQE/CQA, AWS/CWI or NDT exposure, as well as Mandarin/Spanish language skills DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES: Communication- Ability to ensure information is passed on to others who should be kept informed. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversation and interaction with others. Ability to express oneself clearly in business writing. Persuasive Communication – Ability to plan and deliver oral and written communications that make an impact and persuade their intended audience. Thoroughness – Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate: carefully preparing needed documents; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled. Customer Orientation – The ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying ones’ internal and external customers. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting – The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
