On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Senior for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The client is transforming its digital services to better meet the needs of Albertans. The Digital Design and Delivery Division is spearheading this initiative, focusing on modern digital practices. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality of large-scale enterprise platforms, products, and services.

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Strong background in QA engineering with functional and non-functional testing
  • Experience with manual and automated testing in an Agile environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in current and emerging testing technologies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to balance business acumen with project leadership
  • Experience in security and performance testing

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with human-centered design approaches
  • Experience with modern data practices
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility testing
  • Familiarity with mobile testing
  • Experience in defect management best practices
Responsibilities
  • Create and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Plan and execute system tests for functional and non-functional testing
  • Perform security, performance, regression, and API testing
  • Lead database testing and validate data integrity
  • Manage and implement automated test suites
  • Track defects and create detailed bug reports
