Quality Assurance and Field Training CPhT   The Quality Assurance and Field Training Technician plays a critical role in ensuring pharmacy practices across AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) locations meet the highest standards. This position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with best practices related to compounded sterile preparations, technician workflow training, and safe medication inventory management. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, upholding a strong culture of patient safety and excellence in the in-patient pharmacy service.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   * Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and workflow best practices in sterile compounding, medication handling, and storage procedures. * Collaborate with the Pharmacy Technician Supervisors and Pharmacists-in-Charge to uphold high compliance standards among staff, ensuring best practices in all technician-performed tasks. * Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge with regulatory preparedness and documentation requirements. * Assist in sterile compounding training and document competency evaluations in alignment with NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations. * Perform and oversee audits related to safe medication inventory management, including outdate audits, recall compliance and medication storage. * Support the implementation of initiatives directed by ARMC Pharmacy Services leadership. * Continuously review medical literature and pharmacy board guidelines concerning IV sterile compounding and medication storage to remain informed of evolving best practices. * Provide staffing support across locations based on operational needs.     QUALIFICATIONS   EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Current New Jersey State license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician required upon hire or transfer. * National Certification of Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required upon hire or transfer. * National Certification in IV Sterile Preparation from an accredited pharmacy technician accrediting agency (CSPT) strongly preferred.   SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Two years of IV Room Experience * Strong Educational Skills * Excellent knowledge of various technicians performed tasks * Excellent knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile compounding practices * Ability to collaborate effectively * Critical thinking skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff   WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential for exposure to infectious patients or materials is negligible. Potential for exposure to hazardous and toxic substances (including chemotherapy, cytotoxic drugs and cleaning solutions). Potential for musculoskeletal injuries if proper lifting and carrying techniques are not used. Full-time hourly position with flexibility across different shifts and locations to address operational needs. Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of a computer keyboard). May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping or kneeling (e.g., picking up items from the floor; to remove and replace items on lower shelves; to file documents in lower file drawers). Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) are often necessary.
