  Quality Assurance Inspector – 1st Shift - Salina, KS    Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Assurance Inspector for our Salina Facility. This position works Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus overtime on Fridays as required.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities:    * Review manufacturing processes throughout the facility to ensure a quality product * Identify defective parts in each department and address as needed * Troubleshoot causes of defects and make recommendations for changes * Inspect equipment to confirm proper welds, paint and fasteners * Interpret Engineering blueprints to ensure product meets specifications * Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment * Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.   Preferred Skills and Qualifications:  * Experience understanding proper welds, paint and fasteners * Ability to read and understand engineering prints * Demonstrate working familiarity with precision measuring tools * Ability to communicate accurately both written and verbal * Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environment * Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions * Excellent organizational skills * Highly self-motivated with great interpersonal skills * Previous experience as a QA Inspector in a manufacturing environment helpful   At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
