SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, the Quality Assurance Inspector I role is responsible for verifying basic product conformance to company requirements. Performs visual inspections, identifies, and documents non-conformities with products or traceability, and segregates non-conformities. Assists with quality activities and meeting quality goals and objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform final inspections of incoming and in-process accessories to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret technical documents.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Works with internal groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing) to resolve Certification document issues and part discrepancies
  • Proofreads paperwork for traceability for part number, lot number accuracy and test requirements before scanning into system
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
  • Detailed oriented, well organized, self-motivated and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree
  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Knowledge of Pentagon or another ERP system
  • Previous experience in aerospace inspection or audits
  • QA inspection knowledge in QA methods
  • Knowledge of ISO/ASA audits
