Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufactures industrial water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies included raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.
Marmon Industrial Water (MIW) is currently seeking a hardworking, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our Quality Assurance team to support the day-to-day operations of the department while driving the quality program and activities for projects through to execution.
As a QA Inspector , you will act as the project QA lead for new projects and maintain responsibility for performing the project’s QA documentation, inspection, and approval activities. You may also be required to participate in the ISO 9001 program along with other quality activities driving continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role (preferably with customized industrial equipment)
  • CWB Level II welding inspector OR AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Credentials or ability to obtain within one year.
  • 5+ years of experience in inspections.
  • Experience and understanding in selecting, and approving WPS/PQRs for projects.
  • Familiar with the NDE techniques, RT, UT, MT & PT
  • Experience with piping, pressure vessels, valves, tanks, PVC, FRP, HDPE
  • Understanding of international code requirements, ASME, AWS, API, PED, CSA, AWWA, NACE
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
  • Well organized, with effective time management and superior communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on multifaceted tasks and projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, engineering drawings, code compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform detailed inspections for all the operations including dimensional, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, final approvals etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of, inspection and test plans, inspection scheme, inspection and documentation package requirements.
  • Review vendor documentation accordingly from start to final acceptance and prepare final documentation for the customer.
  • Complete equipment, assemblies and components inspections to confirm compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Document inspection findings and complete detailed reports.
  • Generate and closeout process and product non-conformances.
  • Engage in corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Perform vendor qualification audits and quality program analysis.
  • Provide interdepartmental support as needed regarding QA questions and concerns, including vendor clarification.
  • Interact with engineering and manufacturing groups to find the best resolutions for critical discrepancies as applicable.
  • Other activities delegated by Quality Manager.
