Quality Assurance Manager
Location: 3040 Deziel Dr, Windsor, ON N8W 5H8
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, occasional weekends as needed
Cedar Valley is a family-owned and operated pita chip manufacturer, proudly crafting chips made with 100% coconut oil and no seed oils. Our products are sold in over 4,000 stores across North America. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our food safety and quality programs, ensuring our products consistently meet regulatory and company standards.
In this leadership role, you’ll oversee the Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), manage audits and certifications, and guide the QA team in maintaining compliance with CFIA, FDA, and GFSI requirements. You’ll collaborate across departments to improve systems, minimize risks, and foster a culture of quality and food safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of QA programs and SOPs.
  • Oversee audits (CFIA, HACCP, GFSI) and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Manage consumer complaint investigations and preventive measures.
  • Direct recall programs and coordinate mock recalls.
  • Ensure compliance of packaging, labeling, and claims with regulations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to QA team members.
  • Partner with operations and leadership to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive QA/food safety experience, including leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of CFIA, FDA, and GFSI-recognized schemes.
  • Proven track record managing audits and certification processes.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
