QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Measurement Canada S-A-01 requirements.
  • Experience with audit processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective and versatile verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations, Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA), EUSA rulebook, and safe work procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, and Visio; VBA is an asset.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our Measurement Canada S-A-01 Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the highest levels of quality and accuracy in our processes. This role requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance our quality management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and Measurement Canada S-A-01 requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure all quality policies, procedures, and documentation are up to date and effectively communicated.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including Measurement Canada audits, to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and regulatory teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality management principles and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure certification requirements are continuously met.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements, risk management, and quality control enhancements.
