Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN US AT OUR INGLEBURN FURTHER PROCESSING SITE!

As Quality Assurance Manager based at our Ingleburn Further Processing site, you will oversee a small team and be responsible for leading the site’s quality programs to ensure that all food safety, quality and regulatory standards are met during production and dispatch operations. We are looking for a highly skilled manager from a food processing environment with experience working in a high-risk facility.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a quality function in a high-risk, food processing environment (experience in a Ready-to-Eat processing plant will be highly regarded)
  • Experience implementing Quality Assurance programs in a similar food processing environment
  • Ability to manage audits and effectively deal with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of food production including food safety
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organisation
  • A tertiary degree in Food Science or a related discipline

Responsibilities
  • Lead the site’s quality programs to ensure optimal operation and performance
  • Lead the QA Supervisor, providing coaching and training to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals
  • Identify issues and risks through internal and external audits and develop Quality Improvement Plans for the site
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints and non-conformances
  • Collate and review quality testing results and ensuring effective corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented in a timely fashion
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure sanitary processing conditions
  • Monitor KPIs for Food Safety, Animal Welfare and Quality
  • Prepare weekly QA reports
  • Partnering with Operations to ensure compliance and drive improvement programs
  • Build effective relationships with the Site leadership team and wider QA team and contribute positively to the team environment, fostering open communication and actively seeking feedback
