A leading food manufacturing company in Topeka is seeking a Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager to oversee all QA laboratory and food safety functions at the plant. This is a high-impact leadership role with the authority to halt production when product quality or food safety is compromised. • Ensure full compliance with corporate quality and food safety standards, as well as all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
• Oversee ingredient conformance through supplier approval, audits, and analytical/sensory testing
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on RFT (Right First Time), complaint reduction, and audit readiness
• Manage the food safety systems at the plant, including sanitation, HACCP, and pest control programs
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to operations during routine production and special projects
• Lead plant readiness for all internal and third-party audits (e.g., AIB, customer audits)
• Approve final sign-off of new products and processes before full-scale production
• Support the professional development of the QA team through structured training and performance coaching
