THE POSITION:

We are currently looking for Quality Assurance Manager who care to go that extra mile in making a meaningful and positive impact on the health, well-being and lives of our workforce, partners, local and global communities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, chemistry, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemicals or personal care products.
  • Experience in quality management through education or experience.
  • Proven experience leading ISO 9001 certification efforts from planning to audit.
  • Strong knowledge of the cGMP and Health Canada requirements.
  • Proficient in quality tools and methodologies.
  • Very organized with strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to work with both internal and external clients with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and QMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of blow molding process and packaging quality standards is an asset.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Quality Assurance Manager implements, updates and ensures RW Consumer Products’ quality standards are adhered to, and in compliance with GMP practices under Health Canada’s QA guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and actively participate in quality assurance activities for all product categories.
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
  • Ensure all documentation and records relating to regulatory compliance are strictly maintained in accordance with cGMP and company policies.
  • Develop and revise production and distribution SOPs as required, and ensure all SOPs are approved and implemented effectively.
  • Report any substantial variances to internal policies and procedures and achievement of measurable objectives to Senior Management.
  • Responsible for monitoring, coordinating, managing and evaluating the quality management system processes and controlled documents.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, trends and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with other management team members to address, amend and/or change programs in keeping with current cGMP and/or other regulatory or company requirements.
  • Resolve matters pertaining to quality with RW’s suppliers, customers and representatives from external regulatory and jurisdictional bodies.
  • Be the primary contract for Health Canada, FDA and third-party registrars and auditors in regulatory inspection process.
  • Complete GMP training for all staff, including annual self inspection audit with a written report.
  • Interact with QA auditors from customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct internal audits, gap analysis, and readiness assessments for ISO certification and regulatory or customer inspections.
  • Ensure that legislation and regulatory amendments, adverse drug reactions, etc., are reviewed in a timely manner (on-line). Provide the management team and executive summary of all applicable changes affecting the company’s business and/or products.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (i.e., Health Canada, WHMIS, GMP) and customer specifications.
  • Ensure that all quality documents are kept organized in proper location and are kept current.
  • Complete and maintain responsibility for the monitoring of temperature mapping of the warehouse.
  • Supervise and mentor QA staff at all locations, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
