Seven Staffing Solutions is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager for an established industrial bakery in Los Angeles. This is a great opportunity for a qualified food safety professional to contribute to a growing operation in the food manufacturing industry.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified in SQF Level 2 or higher, PCQI, and HACCP.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Food Science and Technology.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills.

INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience in the baking or food industry is a plus.
  • Previous work in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

FUNCTIONAL/JOB-RELATED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong work planning, organization, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in standard operating systems and business software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working with all levels of management is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and consistently meets set standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and oversee performance to ensure tasks are completed according to daily operational needs.
  • Lead the team in troubleshooting non-conformance issues at the bakery, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage and monitor pest control activities at the plant level, including quarterly pest control verifications.
  • Lead monthly GMP walkthroughs, report results in GMP meetings, and ensure follow-up on observations and action plans.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to identify, propose, document, and follow up on necessary activities, including plant repairs.
  • Serve as the HACCP Coordinator, overseeing all food safety-related conditions and activities such as HACCP meetings, reassessments, and plan reviews.
  • Conduct trend analysis on food safety and quality-related data, including KPIs, environmental swabs, material, and finished product evaluations.
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing food safety and quality training to all employees at least once annually.
  • Act as the primary contact for FDA inspections, coordinating responses to regulatory concerns and inquiries.
  • Lead and manage customer, supplier, third-party, and regulatory audits.
  • Promote a strong food safety and quality culture at the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, guidelines, and policies.
