We've opened a brand-new site in Hemmant and we're looking for a hands-on QA Officer to keep our Food Safety Program, HACCP and GMP running smoothly every day. You'll spend most of your time on the production floor and in dispatch, checking that things are done right, catching issues early and working with the team to fix them. You'll report to our QA Manager, who will support you and help you build your skills. 

What you'll be doing

• Running GMP checks and pre-op hygiene inspections across production, warehouse and dispatch
• Verifying CCP records, labelling, traceability and allergen controls, and doing scheduled swabbing and sampling
• Raising non-conformances and following them through with the team until they're closed
• Keeping QA records and the NCR and complaints registers accurate and up to date
• Supporting audits, mock recalls, complaint investigations and GMP training for the production team

What you'll bring

• QA or food safety experience in food manufacturing, ideally meat processing
• Solid working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements
• Experience doing floor inspections and QA verification
• The confidence to raise issues directly with the team and follow them through
• Comfort working in a cold environment, and availability for early starts
