Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Registered Nurse Opportunity JOB PURPOSE: Coordinates all aspects of the developmental, implementation and evaluation of the efficacy of individualized interventions, which are designed to address the priority needs of the clients on his/her caseload. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements the Q.I. Program after approval by the Administrator. Prepare the Issues Summary Log by reviewing all contributing committee reports, Q.A. indicators and trend reports, consultant reports, etc.; and submit to Administrator for approval before placing data on the Issues Summary Log. Conducts monthly review of all Issues Lists to determine patterns, etc., that may need to be placed on the Issues Summary Log. Submit finding of the review to Administrator for approval before placing on Log. Submits in advance a monthly plan to Administrator on instructing facility staff on methods, purposes and philosophy of the Q.I. Program. Inservice committee members and other facility staff on the importance of the Q.I. Program. Develop calendars for the Q.I. assessment, and submit to Administrator for approval. Maintain Q.I. books. Maintain records and books on “Go For The Gold”. Audit departmental Q.I. Manuals and prepare a report of the audit for department heads and Administrator. Chair Infection Control Committee and keep minutes. Chair Safety Committee and keep minutes. Complete compliance rounds once a week with: a) Clinical Charge Nurses b) Dietary c) Resident Living Supervisor d) Housekeeping Record and file forms. Track compliance problems spotted on above rounds and inform Administrator on problems form. Monitor Parkwood Developmental Center’s Q.I. Plan and advises Administrator weekly. Set up agenda for quarterly Q.I. meeting and keep minutes. Assist committee members in formulating action plan (approaches to correct problem). Operate within ICF/MR Guidelines and applicable state and federal laws. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a registered nurse program. BSN preferred. High school diploma or equivalent MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year experience as a Coordinator in a long term care facility MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered Nurse Current certification as a Coordinator Family Makes Us Stronger.
