POSITION SUMMARY

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of tasks to implement and maintain the Quality Management System including product complaint/feedback, document and record control, audits, equipment calibration /maintenance, training, product design, and corrective actions. All duties are performed in a manner that is consistent with the goals and policies of the company, as well as in compliance with ISO standards, where applicable. Responsibilities
  • Initiates, edits, and installs document revisions into Intelex. Distributes and notifies employees of document revisions while controlling and maintaining previous revisions Optional per division.
  • Manages quality records. - Optional per division.
  • Performs and interprets supplier analysis. – Optional per division.
  • Interprets and implements quality assurance standards and OSHA safety standards. Initiates reminders for calibration/maintenance of equipment – Optional per division.
  • Participates on the internal audit team. Attends monthly meetings and assist with audits throughout the year, evaluates findings, and implements appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepares for and participates in external audits and responds to issues.
  • Develops and writes QMS documents and procedures for approval.
  • Leads safety practices for location and participates on the Safety Committee. Attends monthly meetings, records minutes, and follows through with action items
  • Trains new employees on company safety plans and policies and maintains employee training database.
  • Participates in the product design process for new products.
  • Performs equipment calibration/maintenance and contacts vendors to schedule maintenance where appropriate. Optional per division.
  • Maintains NC, CAR and Deviation Systems in Intelex - Optional per division.
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A valid Driver’s License is desired in this position.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in biology or related life sciences; and three years related experience which includes quality assurance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
