Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive QA Technician to ensure our products meet the highest quality and compliance standards. This is a hands-on role working with imported goods and overseeing product approvals across multiple categories. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team with excellent opportunities for development and progression.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage product quality across categories ensuring full compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements. Suggesting improvements where necessary to enhance product quality.
  • Manage technical documentation files, including datasheets, product specification sheets, regulatory declarations, product certifications and declarations of conformity.
  • Conduct comprehensive sample and bulk product assessments for product categories, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all packaging, labelling, and declarations meet legal and regulatory requirements across UK, EU & any additional requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive compliance database for all product categories & packaging requirements.
  • Ensure technical & ethical audit documentation for the company supplier base is up to date and recorded in line with company requirements.
  • Stay updated on evolving global compliance regulations and communicate relevant changes/regulatory updates to Purchasing Manager.
  • Review product returns, identifying trends and escalate areas of concerns, working with suppliers on continual improvements and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Onsite QA factory visits which will include travel to the Far East.
  • Lead efforts to resolve any customer quality issues in collaboration with our customer experience team and suppliers.
  • Submitting relevant reporting data such as WEEE & EPR.
  • Working with sales teams to identify & implement any new compliance requirements for their channel.
  • Work within the purchasing team to oversee pre-shipment product inspections & feedback.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager, General Manager or Directors.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Policy at all times.
