Description Description: Etai’s Food is a local, family-owned company with a food production plant that prepares ready-to-eat products and catering. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician. Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians work alongside our production employees and with the Quality Assurance Manager. They conduct routine food safety and quality assurance inspections. Quality Assurance Technicians also execute daily quality activities to assess incoming materials, work in-process, labeling, final inspections, analysis, and testing of finished products, and perform sanitation responsibilities. Shift: Sunday-Thursday 04:00am-End of Production *Hours are subject to change based on production needs* Essential Responsibilities Conducts pre-operational inspections using visual and analytical methods. Execute daily quality activities to assess incoming materials. Performs verification procedures for control points such as check weights, date codes and labeling Conducts daily GMP/Food Safety inspections in production areas, warehouse, dishwashing locations and cold storage Responsible for documenting GMP violations and ensuring employees follow GMPs and good hygiene practices Responsible for performing in-process and final product quality testing for weight conformance, sensory and other associated basic analytical methods Documents and files retain logs and foreign material deviations. Controls hard documents for quality assurance, sanitation, and operations. Inputs data into computer databases Responsible for communicating food quality and food safety issues to QA Manager and Plant Management in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Requirements Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Quality assurance experience, food manufacturing experience required - Minimum of 1 year. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production required Intermediate MS Office skills highly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English to properly understand and relay important safety and quality information. Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, team environment Must have a high attention to detail Work well with others to establish and maintain excellent interdepartmental relationships. Must possess fundamental mathematical skills and demonstrates the ability to read scales Maintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality. Must have a flexible schedule. Able to work in cold conditions during the shift Bilingual is a plus Physical Requirements: Able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time. Exposure to food allergens. Ability to work in cold environment (40 degrees) Lifting to 50 pounds frequently.
