Quality Assurance & Quality Systems Manager
Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-Time, Factory-Based
Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and practical Quality Assurance & Quality Systems Manager to build, implement, and continuously improve a complete factory-wide Quality Management System.
This is not a routine product inspection, laboratory, document-control, or ISO documentation-only role.
The factory already has Product Quality Control personnel, Product Quality Inspectors, and Laboratory personnel. The selected candidate will lead and integrate these functions within one effective and sustainable quality system covering all factory departments.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct a factory-wide quality gap assessment.
- Build and implement a complete Quality Management System.
- Define quality responsibilities for Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, QC, and Laboratory.
- Develop practical procedures, work instructions, forms, registers, and records.
- Map factory processes and define process controls, risks, responsibilities, and KPIs.
- Establish Quality Plans, Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead and organize the existing QC, inspection, and laboratory team.
- Build and manage NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action systems.
- Establish material identification, batch control, and full traceability.
- Develop warehouse quality controls, inventory-verification requirements, and material-status segregation.
- Establish supplier quality, incoming inspection, calibration, and measuring-equipment control systems.
- Develop and conduct internal audits across all departments.
- Establish document control, record control, training, competency, risk management, and change-control systems.
- Analyze rejection, scrap, rework, complaints, and recurring process failures.
- Prepare quality KPIs, dashboards, and monthly management reports.
- Ensure all systems are applied on the factory floor and remain effective over time.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years of practical quality experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience building, rebuilding, or significantly improving a factory-wide Quality Management System.
- Previous experience leading QC personnel, Quality Inspectors, Laboratory personnel, or a manufacturing quality team.
- Strong practical knowledge of ISO 9001, internal audits, CAPA, root-cause analysis, process control, traceability, supplier quality, and calibration.
- Experience preparing and implementing procedures, work instructions, Control Plans, ITPs, forms, and quality records.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and English communication skills.
Previous experience in a rubber factory is not mandatory. Candidates from any strong manufacturing or industrial background are welcome.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is an advantage.
The successful candidate must be a proven quality-system builder who can create practical, measurable, and sustainable improvements across the factory.
