We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Representative to join our team!

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Focus on continuous improvement, the ability to identify, recommend and implement solutions to gaps in current processes
  • Skilled in the application requirements of ASME Codes (Section IX, V, B31.1, B-31.3), CWB, AWS Structural Codes, CSA B51 and CSA Z662
  • A thorough understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Standard, Provincial safety Codes Acts and Regulations, Canadian national and international standards
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical construction drawings

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Technical education or engineering degree
  • CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector Designation-Preferred
  • Affiliation with ASET or APEGA would be considered an asset
  • Experience as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance professional, evidenced by a minimum of 3 years of work experience
  • Experience working on construction projects, with subcontractors, fabricators / manufacturers, suppliers and distributors

Responsibilities
  • Review and understand scope of project work, client specifications and code of construction requirements. Interpret and implement quality assurance procedural requirements
  • Assist, Project Managers with development of Project specific Quality Plan for contracts
  • Prepare project specific Inspection and Test activities document. Perform inspection activities; receiving, in-process and final inspection, surveillance and quality audit on job sites
  • Identify and record all non-conformances on job sites, determine and suggest disposition in consultation with Site Superintendent, PM and CQM, and client representative
  • Ensure all pertinent project work documents are completed and validated by client’s representative and Provincial Authorized Inspector
  • Interact with Project Manager/Site Superintendent/Foreman/Client’s Representative/Regulatory-Authorized Inspectors to coordinate field inspection, testing and witnessing
  • Develop and document internal audit quality plan. Perform internal audits. Coordinate and support external audit process on-sites and quality management system. Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Analyse data, to identify areas for improvements in the quality system
  • Monitor risk management activities
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
  • Identify training needs for project team members, organize training interventions to meet corporate objectives and quality standards
