Description Safety Responsibilities: Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and potential health issues. Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards training staff on safety protocols and procedures. Manages the safety training process and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates to safety protocols and SOPs. Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations. Inspects safety equipment and recommends replacements as needed. Manage internal safety standards and policies by drafting and implementing policies. Review accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility. Maintains compliance with OSHA. Manages and coordinate safety committee activities. In the event of a safety incident, take appropriate first steps. Manages and completes regulatory reporting (DEQ, OSHA, Etc). Manage Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Boxes, and other safety equipment. Delegate and assign safety actions to other employees as needed. Processes and investigates accidents and incidents and implements corrective actions. Quality Responsibilities: Manages daily Quality Control (QC) activities on the floor. Completes QC/CI inspections, analyze results, and provide necessary changes and feedback. Communicates quality or compliance concerns with urgency. Perform inspections across all stages of production and provides feedback. Manage calibration of testing equipment. Inspect parts and fabrication activities for compliance with prints and tolerances. Maintain necessary tank certifications. Sign off production fabrication layout checks and verify work in progress. Maintain and write NCRs and help identify corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company and client standards and specifications. Manage and maintain ASME Requirements and Documentation General Responsibilities: Help oversee and direct staff to engage in quality control and safety activities. Maintain quality records and documentation. Stay informed regarding industry trends and regulatory changes. Complete necessary ASME and traveler forms. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required. Health and safety certification required. 5 plus years of related experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Previous Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to conduct training and informative meetings. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
