QUALITY ASSURANCE/SPEC PROJ-RN Miami Valley Hospital Operating Room FT, flexible day hours, 80hr/pay The Quality Assurance and Special Projects RN provides oversight to the process improvement initiatives of the Department of Surgical Services. This position will strive to develop measurable impact in patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. The Quality Assurance, Safety & and Special Projects RN ensures that regulatory requirements and quality initiatives are met. The RN will work closely with the Director of Surgical Services and function as an internal consultant to the operations managers and external customers to develop implementation plans to achieve scorecard and operational goals. The Quality Assurance and Special Projects RN provides oversight to the process improvement initiatives of the Department of Surgical Services. Knowledge of delivering educational programs to meet regulatory requirements and certification standards Qualifications Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree Additional requirements:  Type of degree: Nursing  Area of study or major: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing  Preferred educational qualifications: Master’s  Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration  Valid State of Ohio license as a Registered Nurse Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Project manager, process improvement Prior specific functional responsibilities: Minimum of 1 year experience driving process improvement initiatives required. Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Healthcare Environment, Surgical environment highly preferred. Prior experience coordinating work teams is necessary. Proven proficiency in general computing software (i.e. MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project) is required. . Preferred experience: Experience in quality management and performance improvement. Other experience requirements: Strong statistical and analytical skills.
