POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of operational processes related to member deposit and loan accounts. This role involves conducting regular reviews, audits, and analyses to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of quality and member service. The position is vital to protecting the credit union’s assets and reputation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in quality assurance, risk management, or compliance within a financial institution, preferably a credit union.
  • Hands-on experience with deposit and loan operations required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of applicable financial regulations, including but not limited to BSA/AML, TILA, and ECOA.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with credit union core processing systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools is desirable.
