We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee data annotation projects, ensuring all outputs strictly adhere to project-specific guidelines. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and capable of training and mentoring team members to uphold high-quality standards across annotation processes. As the guardian of quality, the QA Specialist will validate annotated data, conduct pre-training sessions, monitor compliance, and ensure that annotation teams consistently meet accuracy and performance benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: Guideline Mastery & Pre-Training Thoroughly study and internalize project-specific annotation guidelines. Conduct pre-training sessions to ensure annotators fully understand requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for guideline interpretation and clarification. Quality Assurance & Compliance Review annotated data for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines. Develop and implement QA checklists, evaluation metrics, and performance standards. Provide actionable feedback to annotators to improve performance and reduce errors. Process Improvement Identify gaps in guideline understanding and propose corrective measures. Collaborate with project managers to refine annotation workflows. Suggest enhancements to QA processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Training & Mentorship Train new team members on annotation standards and QA best practices. Act as a mentor, fostering a culture of accountability and high-quality output. Document and share best practices across teams to ensure consistency. Reporting & Documentation Maintain QA reports highlighting error trends, compliance rates, and improvement areas. Track and document guideline updates and disseminate them to the team. Communicate quality metrics transparently to stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Data Science, or related field. Prior experience in data annotation, labeling, or QA roles (preferred). Strong understanding of annotation tools and platforms. Excellent communication, training, and mentorship skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Additional Requirements: Willingness to work in one of the three QA shifts (Morning, Afternoon, Night – PST). Morning shift candidates are required to come to the office thrice a week. Afternoon or Night shift candidates are also required to come to the office once a week. Why Join Us?
