Job Description Summary The “Engineer -QA” helps maintain accountability and adherence for Quality functional / NPI , business and broad company objectives & Fulfillments . This role will help to develop and maintain processes and procedures to improve quality and maintain consistency with GE Power Conversion & Storage company policy and Quality requirements. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Leading the Line Inspection & Final Inspection ( Inverter /container level) on All products. Parts level Inspection coordination with IQC /SQE & Disposition with CFT. Inverter /container Assy build monitoring, Test feedback & Issue tracker monitoring/review with Engg. Participating on the Containment action & Permanent actions implementation on the punch points. Compiling build issues /action plan for weekly/monthly reviews & implementation follow up. Interface with Customer Pre COD & COD complaints/actions – Initiative-taking deployment on NPI products). Sub assembly & Main assembly Quality check list preparation /release in PLM. Compiling Lessons Learnings summary on each product , Smooth handhold with In process QA Team. Leading the Process audit /execution- Improvements implementation for all manufacturing product lines. Leading Quality Improvements/Kaizen /Pitstop preparation /presentation. QA team -Monthly MOR preparation /Presentation & Process audit activities. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college / Diploma in (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum 7 / 10 years of experience in a Quality and/or process intensive position respectively 5 years of experience in NPI /Quality Inspection / process intensive position. Knowledge of Inverter Mfg., Functions and Exposure to Quality, Engineering, Lean & Testing or Engineering processes. Comfortable analyzing and evaluating data to detect trends and take actions. English proficiency required. Desired Characteristics Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities. Direct experience on NPI build , complaints managing & RCA analysis Having Manufacturing /Quality knowledge on the Invertors /Drives build Highly influencing with Cross Functional Team Strong oral and written communication skills.
